OUR UNIQUE APPROACH

A UNIQUE APPROACH TO UNDERSTANDING BEHAVIOUR CHANGE

We know that changing behaviour is different to changing attitudes, perceptions and awareness.

Drawing on all the behaviour material developed by the UK National Social Marketing Centre, where Janet was an associate in 2008/09, the Four Approaches to Change model is a great explanation of how a behaviour change approach differs.

This model underpins all our work and outlines that changing behaviour requires us to draw from the four quadrants: Inform, Support, Design and Control, to deliver strategies and plans that will change behaviour.

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT DRIVEN BY INSIGHT

Making business and project decisions requires well-designed market and citizen research. ChangeHub has extensive experience here. Our an in-house tool nugget allows us to undertake nationally, or regionally representative online surveys quickly and efficiently. Clients are able to view real-time results and top-line reporting is available within 24 hours of survey completion.

Recently, we have adopted a number of new tools which allow us to run online focus groups and online public engagement – overcoming the usual audience participation barriers requiring physical presence to have a voice. This ensure much greater diversity and representation of perspectives and opinions. Read more

DIGITAL AS DEFAULT

Well developed digital platforms (not just moving offline processes online) allow projects and programmes to develop insight, connect with audiences, build engagement, measure behaviour change and run pilot projects to test and refine strategies.

Digital platforms allow us to use mass media tools customised to audience segments.

ChangeHub has an in-house bespoke platform that we can customise for a variety of applications. We have used this to deliver a successful travel demand management pilot in Canterbury and are currently developing a sustainable lifestyle behaviour change platform.
